Two

Alive workshops were put together by Arlene Robinson of

CARFLEO
Conference 2008
This
year's CARFLEO conference was held at the Nottawasaga
Resort on April 2 & 3. Our Guest Speaker was noted
Bioethicist Dr Moira McQueen.
At this conference the Fr
Angus McDougall Award for outstanding contributions
to Family Life education was awarded to Rita Mary Cote
(Read
Rita Mary's acceptance) as well as the
Archbishop Pocock Award for outstanding contributions
to Religious Education was awarded to Larry Trafford.

The
Ontario Conference of Catholic Bishops and the Institute
for Catholic Education have released High School Religious
Education Curriculum guidelines. These are available from

Kol Institute
This
international association of Christian women and men committed
to study the Word of God within its Jewish context, using
Jewish sources, has revised its educational program. They
are no longer just Masters level, just in Jerusalem (although
that option remains).
Bat
Kol is looking to establish a series of retreats and workshops
in Ontario that serve the needs of Ontario Catholic school
teachers. They have a very well-designed framework within
which you can create a custom workshop to help deepen
your teachers’ knowledge of the scripture stories
