on the Waters: Web Pages to Feed the Web Surfer’s Spirit
- This
site is a wonderful resource which presents web pages on a variety
of topics, especially prayer. The section entitled “Lord,
Teach us to Pray” takes the surfer through the Our Father,
Hail Mary, and other prayers line by line and explains what
is meant by each of the statements. The online articles and
links to magazines are insightful to youth and adults seeking
a deeper understanding of the mysteries. Present also are articles
that relate information on members of the Church and foreign
communities and their efforts to build a living church. This
site could easily be used in the classroom in terms of helping
young people understanding prayer and what it means when we
pray the Our Father and Hail Mary. It is also excellent for
helping students understand how other parts of the world are
building their Catholic faith. One could easily get lost amidst
the pages of information. However it is a journey worth taking
for the web surfer’s spirit.
